Blue Bay Seafood in Salisbury

The service was wonderful. The waitress was very professional, accurate, and stayed aware of our dining needs. Will definitely come again.

Its been awhile since ive eaten at blue bay. Mostly because of the "new" NO longer applicable no substitutions on lunch specials. You were only allowed fries on specials. BUT now that policy is gone, I will be eating here again for lunches. The service was great and very friendly. They were VERY clean and had sanitizer available in many areas. The food was hot 🔥 and fresh. Hushpuppies were crunchy without being greasy. Would RECOMMEND!

FOOD WAS DELICIOUS ...AND WAITRESS WAS SUPER!!

Food was cool...waited a long time for our food. I think the waitress just don't bring it and when it was hot. My husband food was half right. He just asked that half be taken off his plate. When we went to check out the cashiers were talking and we had to wait to be checked out. Bad night all around that night.

Good food and great waitstaff

This place cannot be consistent one day it can be good another day they get your order wrong on a take our. The server should check every order. There is nothing that pisses me off when you get a meal for four and they " forget" part of your order and the portions seem to be cut in half. I know the government just came off a shut down but,that should not effect my take out meal for 4. When I call they say " I have forwarded your receipt to the manager. How does that help me when I am 40 minutes away?

Great to go place to eat when in town. Good southern cooking.

Excellent flounder, baby shrimp, and tilapia

Good better than average Seafood restaurant. Been in operation over 30 years. Jimmy has ran a very good Calabash Style seafood restaurant here and deserves all the success he has earned. Kept a lot of the original kitchen help which continues great consistency for well over 30 years. Calabash Style seafood is a very great art form. The best is lightly battered and not to overdone. Many people have said that this place is better than some of the places at the coast. Some barbecue places are trying their hands at fish and shrimp. But for all types of seafood this place still remains The King in Salisbury North Carolina. Has the great three c's of diners and dives which is cleanliness, cost-effectiveness, and some of the best customer service you will find in the area. Does offer military and Senior discounts. Great for families and large groups.God be with you.And may God be with the USA.

This was my first time at this restaurant and it was good. The wait time for our order was alittle long(even though it was not their busy hour). But when our food finally came,it was really good. It was hot and the waitress kept checking to see if we needed anything. Great place to eat if I may say so myself..

The service at this location is top notch! The food is so delicious! I ordered fried flounder and it was perfect! Another member of our party ordered salmon and it was perfect! The chicken is good too! The decor is spectacular! I highly recommend eating here!

It’s been the mid-1990’s since I’ve eaten at a Blue Bay here in Salisbury, so my expectations based on great memories were very high. I arrived around 4:15pm on Friday October 4, 2019. The hostess seated me quickly, and my server Kiley (the epitome of great customer service) delivered hush puppies, drink, and the main course as if I were her only care - attentive yet unobtrusive, and always a delight. The meal (Canadian Flounder and scallops) was piping hot and so very delicious, just like I remembered from over 20 years ago. This little restaurant tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busy street is a gem. Cute with wonderful decor, it’s easy to recommend this over just about any place in town. Don’t miss the chance of eating here! You won’t regret it.

Freash food cooked great somtimes a lil stingy with the condiments I need lot of lemons with my seafood & sour cream for my potatoe & yes ranch for my salad you will find your waitress gets griped at for taking out to much to your table WOW just charge for " to many condiment requests"Food is GREAT !

I was going to Mayflower (Concord) for a while but the quality of their food was declining. I tried blue bay a they are significantly better. The fries and tartar sauy were bad the fries are really greasy and both the fries and tartar sauce have a bad aftertaste. But everything else tasted great. I will be back.

Its a family atmosphere with good food and hospitable folks. The prices are about average, and they give ya plenty to eat. If ya leave hungry, its your own fault!

I have to say the food was wonderful here! I wasn't expecting such great seafood but everything was really good! I can't say enough about the service there! Five stars on that! Very nice and the carrot cake🎂 was to die for! The prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was family oriented. Great place to eat. I wish I had one in my hometown!

I give it 4 stars because they are absolutely awesome. Not 5 because I am just not a fried food kinda person. The broiled selections are ok. I preferred the scallops - which were large and plenty on the plate. The waitstaff is cheerful, helpful, and on top of things!

Blue Bay Seafood is our family's house go-to place for seafood. In atmosphere, it has the same feel as the fish camps we used to go to, though a notch up.There's still an all you can eat option for fish...my sister and i, these days, choose a combo plate, and ask for senior discounts. If you let them know, that discount will be applied to your tab.I don't have complaints about the food. It's always good. We usually order, as I said, the combo plate. I modify it slightly.The plate is too much with French fries, too. I ask to leave them off, especially since their hush puppies are the best.The servers have always been kind, patient, and attentive. And, we always leave stuffed. Even with a combo plate, you get a lot. Sometimes I get a doggie bag, especially for the hush puppies. Those can be eaten next morning for breakfast!!To sum up, Blue Bay Seafood has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food is great, the service quick.I know I'll be returning to Blue Bay, soon.

Visiting family in Salisbury NC... I ordered the small flounder dinner and the fish was tough and dried out. I couldn't cut the flounder with a knife. Money wasted and I will never return.

EXCELLENT service from Katelyn and Sarah! Very nice and attentive servers. Our 1st time and it was pretty good. I had the salt & peppered catfish fillets, chicken tenders with thin potato wedges then changed to fries. ( Wedges we're not bad just thinner than I thought). The decor a little dated but nice. The hush puppies sticks where D.....LISH....US!!! Not fresh fish but GOOD fish. Your boy The RIBOLOGIST IS OUT ✌🏾.

Drove here from Winston Salem to surprise my mother for her 80th Birthday dinner with her best friend and my daughters. We had a great time and the food was excellent. Destiny was our waitress and we could not have asked for a better young lady. She was very polite, patient, and informative. She helped us sing Happy Birthday and was a real pleasure to have her wait on us. We'll go back soon.

Fanaily a place that's not scared of salt.fish was not fishie nor shrimp. Things tasted fish not like frozen fish. And it had flavor thank now I got a place I can go to when I'm in the mood for 🐟 fish

Blue Bay did alright sticking to social distancing regulations. The food was fresh and the only thing I took issues with was the service. The last straw was when the waitress whom I thought poured your refills put the drink on the table and then after seeing the faces of disbelief come over us she came back and said she could pour our drinks if we liked....😒

The restaurant has a 99 health rating! Major plus for me. I actually loved the food. Will definitely revisit in the future. The only thing I didn't care for was that our nice server obviously had a cold she was sniffing and constantly wiping under her nose with her hands 🤢 she should have been sent home.

The food was served fresh and our server was friendly and attentive. They have Canadian Flounder, it is very good, cook to perfection, and more than I could eat. The restaurant was busy but we didn't have to wait to be seated or for our food.

Has daily specials and great selection. Food is always fresh and cooked to order. Staff is friendly, keeps the hushpuppies coming, and I don't run out of soda or tea! I never feel rushed to finish, and always feel welcome! Blue Bay on Innes Street is a great family friendly place you'll enjoy every time you stop in!

Always hot, fresh and reasonably fast when you dine in. Not so fast when ordering takeout on site (maybe calling ahead is better but then your dinner has the potential to be even more soggy...)The wait staff are always nice and polite. The place is always clean and welcoming. I'm an irregular regular - I eat here when I'm in the area because it's always worth the stop!

Surprisingly no wait tonight. Fast service. Great food. And waitress kept our drinks full.
